The PCSGA Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association has been representing and advocating for its members and shellfish farmers from the southern shores of California to the northern reaches of Alaska and across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii for 90 years. Like it’s members, PCSGA addresses a variety of topics and challenges, including environmental protection, shellfish safety, regulations, technology, and marketing. With such a broad range of subject matter, PCSGA is no stranger to daunting obstacles. 2020 brought on a brand new set of challenges. Led by Margaret Pilaro and Connie Smith, PCSGA has risen to the challenge and after 74 years of holding Shellfish Conferences, in 2020 they pivoted and held their first ever Virtual Shellfish Conference. Keeping a tradition and providing an invaluable resource for members. Seapa is proud to be an allied member of PCSGA and is continually thankful for their support to our community of Oyster Farmers.
