SEAPA has shown its ability to adapt for its customers by producing a special batch of 25L baskets, with 12mm mesh for the Hog Island Oyster Co to show their business identification details on the basket to meet California State regulations. 

We moulded the details directly into the mesh to meet a specific requirement from the Californian state regulatory agency for the Hog Island Oyster Co. 

This type of requirement, which was a California state regulatory agency request, is gaining traction in other parts of the United States. Its expected federal regulations could be expanded in the future for all shellfish gear to be identified. 

Some farms around the world already have to identify their products individually. Our new GTX20 basket has been developed with a separate ID plate that can be securely installed into a purpose-made area.
